PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a small magnet for a polygonal pillar-like microactuator that has high magnetic characteristics and excellent dimensional accuracy and is most suitable for a small actuator and a small motor, and to provide a manufacturing method for efficiently obtaining it with almost no material loss. SOLUTION : The manufacturing method includes a step in which a back grind tape is stuck to one plane of a flat-plate-like rare-earth bond magnet, and then, a side where the back grind tape is stuck is ground after being fixed to a grinding machine; a step in which the ground flat-plate-like rare-earth bond magnet is removed while leaving the back grind tape in a stuck state, and then, the back grind tape is peeled off; a step in which a dicing tape is stuck to the plane of the flat-plate-like rare-earth bond magnet; and then, a side where the dicing tape is stuck is cut after being fixed to a dicing device so as to cut out a polygonal pillar-like rare-earth bond magnet; and a step in which the cut-out polygonal pillar-like rare-earth bond magnet is removed while leaving the dicing tape in a stuck state, and then, the dicing tape is peeled off.
