PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a reprocessing method which enables an effective recovery of nuclear fuel materials and actinide elements from spent nuclear fuel or high-level radioactive waste and a highly efficient recovery of actinide elements with little mixture of fission product of rare earth elements and the like. SOLUTION : In the reprocessing method of spent nuclear fuel or radioactive waste, raw materials 1 in which spent oxide nuclear fuel or radioactive waste including actinide elements is denitration-converted is reacted with lithium in molten salt 4 with lithium chloride as principal component to selectively reduce nuclear fuel materials other than fission products of rare earth or only actinide elements to metal. After solving the reduced metal into liquid metal, the liquid metal is distilled in high temperature and low pressure and nuclear fuel materials or actinide elements are separated. The separated metal is converted to oxide with a mixture gas including oxygen and recovered by separating the nuclear fuel materials or actinide elements from the fission products of rare earth.
