PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a coating method which is capable of controlling the film thickness of a material to be coated in the spray method. SOLUTION : In forming the film by spraying a coating on the surface of the magnet element 10 rowed in the tray 11, as to the thickness of the film in the magnet element 10 of the outermost peripheral side, by adequately setting the space between the mutually adjoining magnet elements 10, the side face of the film may be made thicker than the upper face, or the upper face may be made thicker than the side face while securing the sufficient film thickness. It is preferable that the thickness of the film at the side face of the outer peripheral side is secured in the magnet element 10 of the outermost peripheral side by forming the dummy work 30 or the stage part and convex part similar to the same at the outer peripheral side.
