PURPOSE : A re-vegetation method for bank protection using a perforated pipe when reinforcing a river levee is provided to prevent the erosion of a slope by making construction simple and to execute environment-friendly bank protection work possible by forming a vegetation space easily. CONSTITUTION : The perforated pipe assembly comprises a perforated pipe as a bottomless pipe formed in a diameter of 30~100 mm and provided with many through holes formed on the outer circumferential surface and coupling holes formed at circumferentially trisectional positions of the circumference, a delta fastener provided with three brackets extended perpendicularly from a base and a projection formed on the inner bottom of the bracket to bind up perforated pipes in an equilateral triangle arrangement, and a grid fastener inserted to the through hole of the perforated pipe and provided with a split gripper and a ring to connect geogrids. The re-vegetation method for bank protection using a perforated pipe when reinforcing a river levee using the perforated pipe assembly comprises the steps of constructing a cofferdam(22) on a construction site along a bank protection(20) and excavating the construction site to the appointed depth, arranging perforated pipes on the excavated part in two or three rows and assembling integrally using delta fasteners, inserting grid fasteners to the outer circumference of each perforated pipe, extending geogrids in the earth and covering up the excavated part with soil, finishing up the uppermost layer with a footway or laying a filter mat, filling up the inside of the perforated pipes with gravel, coarse sand and culture medium and planting, and then removing the cofferdam. © KIPO 2007
