PURPOSE : A method and an apparatus for removing SOx from an exhaust fuel gas are provided to maximize desulfurization efficiency by filling solid rare earth alkali metal oxide material in a filling layer and injecting water from an upper part of the filling layer. CONSTITUTION : A method for removing SOx from an exhaust fuel gas includes the steps of : manufacturing at least one solid rare earth alkali metal oxide material selected from the group consisting of MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO; filling the material in a filling layer of a wet desulfurization device; and injecting water from an upper part of the filling layer to remove sulfuric oxide. The rare earth alkali metal material is inserted into circulation water to be circulated in a lower part of the desulfurization device and a separate tank. The solid rare earth alkali metal material is changed into powder to be mixed with the circulation water in the wet desulfurization device. © KIPO 2007
