PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a cold accumulating material for the extremely low temperature and a manufacturing method of a heat shield material, easily processed in the shape of reducing a pressure loss while exhibiting sufficient refrigerating capacity by reducing the pressure loss in a refrigerant (a working medium). SOLUTION : This manufacturing method of the cold accumulating material for the extremely low temperature comprises a process of preparing a magnetic granular body 4 having the particle size of 5 mm or less by crushing a magnetic alloy including rare earth, a process of preparing a porous carrier 2 having porosity of 90 vol% or more and a process of filling the magnetic granular body 4 in a pore part 3 of the porous carrier, and is characterized by setting a rate of filling the magnetic granular body 4 in the porous carrier 2 to 20 to 90%.
