PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dipped nozzle to be used in continuous casting of molten steel containing rare earth elements, which can suppress the choking of the nozzle. SOLUTION : A dipped nozzle containing alumina as a main component (1) contains oxides of rare earth elements in the refractories composing the dipped nozzle, or (2) has a coating layer of the oxides of the rare earth elements on an inside bore surface of the dipped nozzle, or (3) is impregnated with the oxides of the rare earth elements in the pores existing in the refractories composing the dipped nozzle.
