PURPOSE : A coated barium titanate-additive composite particle with core-shell structure is provided to prepare a dielectric material used in various information communication fields such as MLCC(multilayer ceramic capacitor) by coating the surface of barium titanate particle as the core with the additive which comprises transition metal or alkali-earth metal compound. CONSTITUTION : The composite particle includes the additive comprising at least one metal compound selected from alkali-earth metal compound and transition metal compound which forms precipitate water insoluble under alkaline condition. The metal compound is oxide or carbonate of alkali-earth metal that is selected from magnesium, strontium and calcium, or transition metal that is selected from yttrium, manganese, zinc, cobalt, vanadium and chromium. The composite particle has an additive coating layer on the surface of barium titanate which is partially the same as or different from the surface. The composite particle includes 96 to 97wt.%% of barium titanate and 3 to 4wt.%% of the additive. © KIPO 2007
