PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To realize a dielectric porcelain composition which is high in the relative dielectric constant εr and Qf, and satisfactorily small in the temperature characteristic τf by using La as a rare earth element. SOLUTION : The dielectric porcelain composition is expressed by the composition formula {Ba6-3x[(La1-WREW)1-yBiy]8+2x}zTi18 O36+18z, in which 0.28≤w≤0.99, 0.5≤x≤0.9, 0.10≤y≤0.27, 0.8≤z≤1.2, and RE expresses a rare earth element other than La; and the average value of ion radii of all rare earth elements is 1.08Å-1.13Å. In the composition formula, it is preferable to be 0.8≤z<1.0. Also, Mn may be added in 0.04-1.00 mol% in terms of MnO. COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
