PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an ink and an optical material invisible under visible light and visually observable by irradiating ultraviolet light by a simple method without causing concentration quenching even when rare earth metal ions at high concentrations are contained. SOLUTION : The luminescent composition has constitution in which the rare earth metal ions and a phosphoric acid triester compound are contained and the phosphoric acid triester compound is coordinated with the rare earth metal ions. In a luminescent resin composition, etc., the luminescent composition has the constitution included in at least one kind of organic or inorganic polymer selected from the group consisting of an acrylic resin, a polystyrenic resin, a polycarbonate resin, a silicone resin, an epoxy resin, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, a cellulose derivative and a metal alkoxide.
