Provided is a method for improving productivity and quality of agricultural products, which increases generation of seeds of feed crops, stimulates growth of fruits, vegetables and rice grains, imparts resistance to agricultural chemicals, and causes no soil contamination. The method is used for improving productivity of feed crops and comprises using a fertilizer comprising a rare earth metal element after diluting it with water to a concentration of 20ppm or 800ppm. The feed crops include corns, millets, Italian ryegrass or Sudan grass. In a variant, a fertilizer formed of a rare earth metal element is diluted with water in a ratio of 1 : 600-1300 and is applied to fruits, vegetables or rice. The rare earth metal element is at least one selected from the group consisting of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Sc and Y.
