PURPOSE : An electrode material is provided to improve luminance and lifetime by using an Ni alloy made of Ni, impurity, and one selected from a group consisting of ti, Hf, Zr, V, Fe, Nb, Mo, Mn, W, Sr, Ba, B, Th, Be, Si, Al, Y, Mg, In, and a rare-earth element. CONSTITUTION : An electrode of a cold electrode fluorescent lamp is made of an Ni alloy made of Ni, impurity, and at least one element selected from a reference group consisting of ti, Hf, Zr, V, Fe, Nb, Mo, Mn, W, Sr, Ba, B, Th, Be, Si, Al, Y, Mg, In, and a rare-earth element. The Ni alloy contains 0.001wt.%% - 5.0wt.%% of the selected element and the remaining is consist of Ni and impurity. The Ni alloy contains at least one element selected from a group consisting of Be, Si, Al, Y, and the rare-earth element. © KIPO 2007
