THERMOELECTRIC CONVERSION MATERIAL AND THERMOELECTRIC ELEMENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a thermoelectric conversion material which is composed of elements containing toxic material little, excellent in thermal resistance, and chemical durability etc, and has a thermoelectric conversion efficiency which is kept high around a room temperature to a middle temperature range, and also to provide a thermoelectric conversion element using the same. SOLUTION : The thermoelectric conversion material is represented by a composition formula, AlzGayInxAsuSbvMrRsDt (wherein; M is a transition element, R is a rare earth element, D is an element belonging to a group IV, a group IIA or a group IIB, 0≤z≤0.7, 0≤y≤0.7, 0.2≤x≤1.0, 0≤u≤1.0, 0≤v≤1.0, 0≤r≤0.2, 0.9≤s≤1.1, 0≤t≤0.1, and x+y+z=1 and u+v=1). The thermoelectric conversion element uses a p-type thermoelectric conversion material 3, and an n-type thermoelectric conversion material 4 contained in the thermoelectric conversion material.
