PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an Al-based plated steel sheet capable of obtaining strength of ≥1, 200 MPa after high temperature forming, and also having excellent paint adhesion and corrosion resistance after coating, to provide an automobile component using the same, and to provide a method for producing the Al-based plated steel sheet. SOLUTION : In the hot dip Al-based plated steel sheet having excellent corrosion resistance after coating, provided that the content of an alkali element(s) in an Al-based plating layer is defined as X (mass%), and the content of an alkaline-earth element(s) is defined as Y (mass%), X+0.5Y satisfies ≤0.05 mass%. As steel components, by mass, 0.1 to 0.3% C and 0.6 to 3% Mn are preferably comprised. The Al-based plated steel sheet having such components as above is subjected to hot pressing, and the production of an automobile component in which extremely high strength and excellent characteristics after coating are made compatible is made possible. According to the invention, using the Al-based plated steel sheet, a high strength member can be produced by a hot pressing process, and further, stable corrosion resistance after coating can be obtained, thus the industrial significance thereof is extremely great.
