PURPOSE : A flue gas purification device having divided scrubbing liquid sumps is provided to desirably purify flue gas generated in a thermoelectric power plant and optimize reaction between alkaline earths dissolved in a scrubbing liquid and sulfur oxides existing in the flue gas by installing a scrubbing liquid sump divided into a plurality of containers, and a pump pumping a scrubbing liquid to scrubbing liquid nozzles. CONSTITUTION : A flue gas purifying apparatus(10) has a storage container(12) formed in a parallelepiped shape. Scrubbing liquid nozzles(14) are arranged in an upper area of the storage container at different heights and in different directions. A scrubbing liquid sump(16) is mounted at a lower area of the storage container for containing a scrubbing liquid. The scrubbing liquid sump is divided into a first container(20) and a second container(22) by a partition wall(18). A pump(26) pumps the scrubbing liquid from the containers to the scrubbing liquid nozzles. © KIPO 2006
