PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a light-emitting polynuclear rare earth complex having higher light emission intensity and higher heat resistance than ever.
SOLUTION : This polynuclear rare earth complex has two or more rare earth ions in one molecule. While a kind of the rare earth ion is out of the question, a green light-emitting material having heat resistance is obtainable from a nonanulear complex of Tb(III). Further, hexyl salicylate expressed by the formula and methyl salicylate are each used as a suitable example of a ligand having a especially excellent photosensitizing function.
