PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a scintillator array which has shorter afterglow and higher optical output than those of rare-earth oxysulfide ceramic, the variation of the optical output being small, and has high-definition resolution and does not includes harmful substances such as cadmium, and to provide a radiation detector and a radiation detection device each using the scintillator array, and a method for manufacturing the scintillator array.
SOLUTION : The scintillator array is provided in which a plurality of scintillator elements composed of polycrystal substances of garnet structure oxide are integrated via a reflection layer with a thickness of 80 μm or less, the scintillator element having a length of 1.0 mm or less, a width of 1.0 mm or less and a depth of 2.5 mm or less, the average crystal grain diameter of the polycrystal substance is 2 μm to 50 μm inclusive, and variation in characteristic is small. The radiation detector and the radiation detection device each using the scintillator array and a method for manufacturing the scintillator array are also provided.
