PURPOSE : A magnetic field press apparatus for manufacturing a rare-earth magnet is provided to prevent the generation of defects when manufacturing a magnet having only a north pole or south pole by cutting the middle of north and south magnets by vertically forming the middle boundary unit of the north and south magnets. CONSTITUTION : A method for manufacturing a rare-earth magnet includes the steps of : dissolving and solidifying a rare-earth alloy and grinding the dissolved and solidified rare-earth magnet to powder(10); manufacturing a magnetic forming body by applying predetermined pressure to the power to apply a magnetic field to the power(20); and sintering the magnetic forming body(30). The step 20 includes the steps of : preparing a mold frame having an inner filling room filled with the power and a magnetic field generating unit outside, and upper and lower molds of a non-magnetic substance pressing the powder filled into a filling space(20a); and making the magnetic forming body by pressurizing the powder through the upper and lower molds while applying the magnetic field from the magnetic field generating unit to the powder after filling the powder between the upper and lower molds(20b). © KIPO 2006
