EDDY CURRENT LOSS REDUCING MAGNETIC SUBSTANCE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an eddy current loss reducing magnetic substance excellent in electric insulation while suppressing heat production by eddy current to a minimum, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION : The eddy current loss reducing magnetic substance having a short circuiting ratio of ≤50% after pressure densification is formed by densifying with pressure mixed powder of magnetic particles and insulating material coating particles or the insulating material coating particles. The magnetic particles are a rare earth magnet material. Use is made of magnetic particles manufactured by an HDDR method. The eddy current loss reducing magnetic substance is manufactured by densifying with pressure source particle powder obtained by mixing the insulating material coating powder and the magnetic particles of ≤30 vol% with respect to the total volume of the source particle powder. The pressure densification is performed in a temperature range between a melting point of the magnetic particles and a melting point of the insulating material coating particles.
