PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To improve the residual magnetic flux density (Br) of La-Co ferrite.
SOLUTION : The ferrite magnetic material of the present invention is characterized in that it is comprised of a sintered oxide compact which has values of 0.6≤x≤0.84, 0.3≤y≤0.6, and 0.8≤z≤1.1 when the constituent ratio of the sum total of its each metal elements of A, R, Fe and Me is expressed by composition formula (1) of A1-xRx(Fe12-yMey)z, provided that A is at least one element selected from Sr, Ba, Ca and Pb, R is at least one element selected from rare earth metals (including Y) and Bi but inevitably includes La, and Me is Co or Co and Zn, and in that the ratio of the M phase occupied in the composition is 95 mol% or higher. The ferrite magnetic material of the present invention can be provided with the residual magnetic flux density (Br) of 4.6 kG or higher by employing the above constituent.
