Hydrogen fuelling and discharge, especially for hydrogen motors and fuel cells brings hydrogen into contact with at least one oxide in a lacunar mixture to build up the hydrogen within it. A composition is hydrogenized which has at least one unsaturated organic component and an organic component saturated by the hydrogen contained within the lacunar oxide mixture. The discharge is effected by dehydrogenating the saturated organic component. A composition is hydrogenized which has at least one unsaturated organic component and an organic component saturated by the hydrogen contained within the lacunar oxide mixture. The discharge is effected by dehydrogenating the saturated organic component. The lacunar oxide mixture can be of zirconium, one or more rare earths, cerium and nickel. The unsaturated organic component is an aromatic. A tank (1) is fed with hydrogen (2) to be built up within the oxides. A reactor (4) extracts hydrogen for an outflow (13) with a separation membrane (8).
