PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for preventing a fall at work on a tree top comprising using a rope to surely prevent a worker from falling down from the top of a tree when going up and down the tree or moving on the tree to work on the tree top through an extremely simple operation for fall prevention with no need of any skill and specific equipment, tools and materials. SOLUTION : The method for preventing a fall at work on a tree top comprises the following process : stocking a fall-preventive rope 1 on the earth side; fixing the leading side 1a of the rope 1 in the vicinity of the root of a tree T; fastening a winding/fastening rope body 3 around the tree T at a height reaching from the ground to form a first supporting point P1; sequentially passing the rope 1 following its leading side 1a through an opening/closing clip ring 4 held on the winding/fastening rope body 3 and a slide stopper 2, the worker M puts on her (his) body to make the rope body droop down to a stock part 10; and sequentially forming supporting points P following a second supporting point P2 made through fastening the winding/fastening rope body 3 around the tree M in series every necessary height starting from the position higher than the first supporting point P1; and passing the remaining part 11 of the rope 1 held between the sliding stopper 2 and the lower supporting point P through the opening/closing clip ring 4 held by the winding/fastening rope body 3 at each of the supporting points P while the worker M climbs the tree T.
