PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth magnet having a fully excellent corrosion resistance. SOLUTION : The rare earth magnet is provided with a magnet element, and an oxide film which functions as a protective coat on the front surface of this magnet element. This magnet element contains a rare earth element, a transition element including Fe, and B. Moreover, the oxide film contains at least the same rare earth element as the magnet element.
