PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an organic photoelectric conversion device with a high efficiency, and to provide an electrode structure using for the same, and a method for improving the operating efficiency. SOLUTION : The organic photoelectric conversion device which includes an organic layer having a light emitting layer, and an inorganic layer comprising alkali metal oxide or alkaline-earth metal oxide, is provided between a first electrode and a second electrode. The alkali metal oxide or the alkaline-earth metal oxide constituting the inorganic layer is desirably composed of one or two or more kinds shown in the formula Ax(MyOz), wherein x, y and z represent positive integers greater than 0, A represents alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal, M represents metal, transition metal or metal alloy, and O represents oxygen.
