A cord-like implant (I) consisting of a re-absorbable polymer-material (II) comprising a random co-polymer of L-lactide and glycolide in a textile construction, has a tensile strength of greater than 200 N/mm. (I) comprises 80-95, preferably 90 mol.% lactide and 5-20, preferably 10 mol. % glycolide. An Independent claim is included for a process for the production of (I) by forming (II) into a cord-like textile, structure.
