PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To attain high magnetic characteristics by filling a die with an anisotropic powder produced by pulverizing a rare earth based alloy powder through hydrogen occlusion and emission and then subjecting the anisotropic powder to conduction sintering in specified heating pattern thereby solidifying the anisotropic powder. SOLUTION : A material rare earth based alloy powder is pulverized by oxygen occlusion and emission to produce an anisotropic powder which then fills a die for producing a final product shape and subjected to pressure molding. The die is set in a conduction sintering system for heating the powder by conducting a current directly through the powder. A heating pattern for temporarily inducing phase separation reaction of oxygen in the solidification of anisotropic powder containing (residual) hydrogen and then causing recombination reaction in the solidification process is realized through a quick heating and cooling. Quick heating and cooling is carried out at 600-900 deg.C for 0.5-10min.
