PURPOSE : To provide a magnetic material having the improved magnetic characteristics of the main phase and excellent heat stability by a method wherein the phase having TbCu7 type crystal structure is used as the main phase, and one or more kinds of penetration type elements selected from H, N, C and P are contained in the composition of the magnetic material. CONSTITUTION : The magnetic material is indicated by a general formula of R1xR2yAzCouFe100-u-y--z (R1 is a kind of element selected from rare-earth element containing Y, R2 is the element of a kind selected from the group of Zr, Hf and Sc, A is the element of a kind selected from H, N, C and P, x, y, z and u indicate in atom % of 2 or more.
