Bio mortar for wallpaper and method for coating using the same

PURPOSE : Bio-mortar for wallpaper comprising a mixture of mineral materials, binder resin and water is provided to reduce or neutralize harmful materials or dust generated from concrete of constructional buildings, deodorize or adsorb bad odor, and originally inhibit proliferation of microorganisms by adding specific mineral materials to the mortar to emit anions and far-infrared ray. CONSTITUTION : The bio-mortar comprises : 40-60wt.% of a mixture of mineral materials including 5-15wt.% of jade, 5-15wt.% of elvan, 5-15wt.% of tourmaline, 20-25wt.% of feldspar, 20-25wt.% of mica, 20-25wt.% of rare-earth metal and 1-2wt.% of silver powder; 30-50wt.% of binder resin selected from a water-soluble resin group consisting of polyethylene(PE), polyvinyl acetate(PVA), acrylic resin and aqueous urethane resin; and 5-15wt.% of water. The coating method comprises the steps of : preparing a face of concrete or wallpaper to become smooth and even; uniformly applying the resulting bio-mortar to the prepared face, and drying the coated face. The coating method further includes a step of attaching film sheet or transcript sheet to the coated layer or processing the coated layer by a patterning roller to print desired patterns and colors thereon. © KIPO 2006
