PURPOSE : Provided are a method for preparing a phosphor having uniform size and shape under supercritical water condition within a short time, a phosphor prepared by the method, and its apparatus. CONSTITUTION : The method comprises the steps of mixing a water-soluble metal solution containing a host and an activator and an alkali solution to prepare a hydroxide salt solution; mixing the hydroxide salt solution and preheated water to maintain the temperature of the reaction mixture to be 150-200 deg.C; injecting the reaction mixture into a main reactor maintained in supercritical water state to prepare a phosphor particle; and condensing, filtering and drying the phosphor particle. Preferably the host is yttrium or aluminum; and the activator is a rare earth metal. © KIPO 2006
