PURPOSE : A method for cultivating plants and a device used therefor are provided to maintain the temperature around the dwarf stem of the plant at a certain temperature range, and thus to improve the growth and plant vigor, and to prevent the plant from getting into dormancy. CONSTITUTION : The method for cultivating plants which can control the plant vigor for the plant forming a dwarf stem on the earth comprises applying localized heating to the dwarf stem(8a) of the plant(8) so as to maintain the temperature required for the plant part above the earth, with a device for heating the dwarf stem part which comprises an electric heater, wherein the method further comprises : treating the plants with gibberellin or a long-day treatment. © KIPO 2006
