PURPOSE : Provided is a natural paint composition, which contains neither organic solvent nor heavy metals, uses pollution-free natural materials, dries in a short time, and is not harmful to the human body and the environment. CONSTITUTION : The paint composition formed of a natural resin and mineral substances comprises : 20-50 wt% of a natural resin extracted from trees and plants; 40-60 wt% of turpentine oil; 0.1-5 wt% of ethyl alcohol; 0.1-5 wt% of tannin imparting fast-drying property; 30-40 wt% of mineral substances; and 5-15 wt% of additives. More particularly, the natural resin includes a natural dammar resin, the mineral substances include 20-40 wt% of titanium dioxide, 25-30 wt% of calcium carbonate, 25-30 wt% of diamatoceous earth and 15-30 wt% of talc, wherein the mineral substances are used in an amount of 50-70 wt% based on the weight of the natural resin. © KIPO 2006
