PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a coating or ink composition which changes in its color into three different hues by itself according to the three kinds of different wavelength rays, namely, visible rays, ultraviolet rays, and infrared rays to realize high luminance light emission (color development) and to provide a method for using the same. SOLUTION : The color-changing resin composition is prepared by throwing a color changer comprising a single crystal or powder represented by the chemical formula : RxGd1-xVO4 (wherein 0.01≤x≤0.5; and R is at least one rare earth element selected from among Nd, Eu, Er, and Y) in a solvent-based, water-based, or powder clear coating and uniformly dispersing it in the coating and can change its color upon being illuminated with visible rays, ultraviolet rays, or infrared rays.
