PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide AES fiber having more excellent biological solubility. SOLUTION : Amorphous alkaline earth silicate fiber of alkaline earth weighted average ionic radius of 66 to 89 pm and 89 to 100 pm are each heat-treated at a temperature of 600 to 850°C and 800 to 1100°C to produce the inorganic fiber.
