PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a water level regulation system for a cultivation area keeping outflow of fertile or agrochemical from the cultivation area to a minimum, enabling setting of an appropriate above-ground water level or an underground water level in accordance with various conditions, and suppressing accumulation of earth and sand at the inside of an underdrain water pipe. SOLUTION : This water level regulation system for the cultivation area is structured as follows : the underdrain water pipe 17 and an earth-and-sand settling separation pipe 18 are laid underground and a water supply box 21 and a water level regulation box 22 are set respectively at the cultivation area 14; an irrigation water flow-in part 23 connected to a supply pipe 15, an irrigation water supply part 24 connected to the earth-and-sand settling separation pipe 18, and an above-ground water supply-and-drainage part 25 communicating with the above-ground part of the cultivation area 14 are set at the water supply box 21; the water level regulation box 22 is provided with a junction with the underground water pipe 17, a junction with a drainage pipe 16, and a water level regulation means 29 with which the height of an overflow dam 28 sharing borders of the cultivation area and a drainage pass can be regulated in accordance with a set water level; and a water pool trap 30 is set between the underdrain water pass 17 and the water level regulation box 22.
