PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To satisfy the need for an annular or an arcuate thin anisotropic rare earth bond magnet having an intense magnetostatic field in a gap thereof and a mechanical strength resistant to high speed rotation for achieving high output and high efficiency in a permanent magnet type motor. SOLUTION : Compound granule [A] containing Sm2Fe17N3 impalpable powder [A1b] coated with oligomer or prepolymer [A2], Nd2Fe14B powder [A1a], and ductile macromolecules [B1] is subjected to compression molding through a nonwoven fabric impregnated with [A2] in a magnetic field together with the ductile macromolecules [B1] and chemical contact [C1] under melted and fluidized condition accompanied by slip, and is self-organized along with a fiber reinforced layer [E] by forming a chemical contact point [C]. Thus, a magnet provided with the fiber reinforced layer of 1 mm thick and 139 kJ/m3 as (BH)max is obtained nearly without voids, and it can be drawn into e.g. an annular shape whose diameter is ≥24 mm to form a high output and high efficiency permanent magnet type motor with robust construction. The fiber reinforced layer [E] is disposed as the outermost layer of the magnet. COPYRIGHT : (C)2006, JPO&NCIPI
