METHOD FOR RAISING BEAN SPROUTS TO ENHANCE NUTRITIONAL VALUE AND SENSORY PROPERTIES OF CONVENTIONAL

PURPOSE : A method for raising bean sprouts is provided to increase the nutrients such as crude oil, ash, fiber and other components effective on human health, and to improve the organoleptic properties of the resulted bean sprouts in a simple and convenient way. CONSTITUTION : The method for raising bean sprouts comprises : drying earth and the residues of medicinal herbs which are obtained after extracting medicinal herbs under sunlight; placing the layer of the dried earth(1) to the thickness of 40-60 mm, the layer of the dried residues of medicinal herbs(2) to the thickness of 8-15 mm, and again the layer of the dried earth to the thickness of 8-12mm in a planting tray(4); sowing the planting tray with beans(3); when the bean sprouts grow to the height of 30-40mm, exposing them to sunlight for 1-2 hours; and harvesting the bean sprouts when the height thereof becomes 50-80mm. © KIPO 2006
