PURPOSE : Provided is a white phosphor which has a high brightness and a complete white-color reproduction zone, does not use any rare earth metal elements, and thus it is inexpensive. A light emitting diode using the same is also provided. CONSTITUTION : The light emitting diode(LED) comprises a phosphor which emits light by absorbing at least one part of excitation energy from a light-emitting diode chip(LED chip) having an emission wavelength of 350 nm to 500 nm.
