PURPOSE : A Be-free nonvaluable metal alloy for dental prosthesis capable of satisfying conditions that the alloy endures low chewing pressure, is not worn or deformed, has similar hardness, strength and color to those of teeth, is not eroded or discolored in the mouth and is not harmful to the human body is provided. CONSTITUTION : A Be-free nonvaluable metal alloy for dental prosthesis comprises 65 to 74 wt.% of nickel(Ni), 16 to 22 wt.% of chromium(Cr), 3.8 to 6.3 wt.% of molybdenum(Mo), 0.5 to 3 wt.% of silicon(Si), 3.5 to 5.0 wt.% of aluminum(Al), 0 to 1.5 wt.% of manganese(Mn), 0 to 1.0 wt.% of iron(Fe), 0 to 0.2 wt.% of boron(B) and 0 to 0.3 wt.% of Ce-free misch metal. A method for manufacturing a Be-free nonvaluable metal alloy for dental prosthesis comprises a step of melting the alloy composition in the atmosphere by adding deoxidizers of Si, Mn and the like to an alloy composition comprising 65 to 74 wt.% of nickel(Ni), 16 to 22 wt.% of chromium(Cr), 3.8 to 6.3 wt.% of molybdenum(Mo), 0.5 to 3 wt.% of silicon(Si), 3.5 to 5.0 wt.% of aluminum(Al), 0 to 1.5 wt.% of manganese(Mn), 0 to 1.0 wt.% of iron(Fe), 0 to 0.2 wt.% of boron(B) and 0 to 0.3 wt.% of Ce-free misch metal in the atmosphere, thereby deoxidizng the alloy composition to reduce an amount of oxygen in molten alloy. © KIPO 2006
