PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an inexpensive inductor which has high inductance, even in a large current and has low-DC resistance and which is small-sized and low in height with a high occupation rate of a coil, and to provide its manufacturing method.
SOLUTION : The inductor includes in combination first and second flat plate-shaped magnetic cores 2, the coil 14, and a rare-earth bond magnet 3. The coil 14 is formed by winding spirally a flat square conducting wire as a first layer and further winding the flat square conducting wire, that is at that time located on an inner periphery side, on the first layer winding spirally to provide a second layer overlapping it from the inner peripheral side to an outer peripheral side. The rare-earth bond magnet 3 is installed on at least one of the inner peripheral side or outer peripheral side of the coil oppositely to a magnetic field generated by the coil 14 so as to apply a magnetic bias. The coil 14 and the rare-earth bond magnet 3 are sandwiched between the first and second magnetic cores 2.
