PURPOSE : A multifunctional polymer film for a display device and a method for the same are provided to improve color purity and prevent a near infrared ray and an electromagnetic wave by being used in a front plate of a plasma display panel(PDP). CONSTITUTION : A multifunctional polymer films includes a front plate(12), an anti-reflection film(13), and a multifunctional polymer film(14’). The multifunctional polymer film(14’) obtains a function of a color filter by making a polymer resin by melting a high molecular polymer into a solvent containing rare earth atoms, coating the high molecular polymer on a glass or a thick layer, and drying it at a low temperature. © KIPO 2006
