A low-level roadside ground barrier traps small migrating animals e.g. frogs and toads before reaching a danger zone. The barrier consists essentially of an L-shaped panel with a horizontal shank and an upright shank with stiffening ribs. The horizontal shank is weighted by earth and plants, the upright face exposed to the oncoming animals.
