The window or door frame for an opener that slides horizontally or vertically consists of a plastic extrusion (73) that acts as a thermal break between internal and external metal (aluminium) extrusions (71, 72). The plastic extrusion is made with a number of closed cavities (731), preferably three or more, that are filled with air, a rare gas such as argon, or a gas at low pressure to reduce thermal transmission.
