PURPOSE : A plasma display device is provided to stabilize the discharge characteristics, to realize high luminosity and long lifespan, and to give color purity at least equal to that of a CRT. CONSTITUTION : The plasma display device comprises : a pair of substrates forming a discharging space, a partition disposed in at least one of the substrates, an electrode assembly for generating electric discharge in the discharging space, and a panel main body having phosphor layers including a red phosphor layer, a blue phosphor and a green phosphor layer. In the plasma display device, the green phosphor layer includes a mixed phosphor formed of a manganese-containing active zinc silicate green phosphor represented by the formula of Zn2SiO4 : Mn and having an anodic surface potential and a terbium-containing active rare earth metal borate green phosphor represented by the formula of ReBO3 : Tb (wherein R is at least one rare earth element selected from Sc, Y, La and Gd, or a solid solution containing a combination thereof), wherein the terbium-containing active rare earth metal borate green phosphor is present in an amount of 10-75 wt% based on the total weight of the mixed phosphor. © KIPO 2006
