PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a magnesium alloy and the material having high corrosion resistance without requiring coating and having lightweight characteristic without using heavy rate earth elements as constituent elements. SOLUTION : The high corrosion resistant magnesium alloy which is composed of high corrosion resistant magnesium alloy powder manufactured by mechanical alloying and has amorphous phases or nanocrystals having a composition represented by Mgx Ni(100-x-y) Siy (wherein, x is 66 to 85; and y is 5 to 20) and its manufacturing method are provided. Further, a method for manufacturing an Mg-base amorphous bulk body by sintering the above alloy powder using a method of sintering by pulse electric heating is also provided.
