PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prevent the carbonization of a rare-earth sintered magnet during a sintering step. SOLUTION : This method for manufacturing a rare-earth sintered magnet includes a step (A) wherein a compact made of rare-earth magnet powder is inserted into a sintering case, a step (B) wherein the sintering case is inserted into a sintering furnace, and a step (C) wherein the compact is sintered in the sintering furnace. In the step (C), at least one metal foil 40 coupled with carbon is arranged in the sintering case. The metal foil preferably contains Ti as a main component. COPYRIGHT : (C)2006, JPO&NCIPI
