PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a heat resistant magnesium alloy casting which is excellent in mechanical properties and creep properties, and also improved in castability and creep strength. SOLUTION : The heat resistant magnesium alloy casting has a composition containing 1.5 to 6% Al, 0.3 to 3% Ca, 0.1 to 1% Mn, 0.21 to 1% Sr and 0.1 to 1% Ge, further comprising one or more kinds of metals selected from 0.1 to 1% Pb, 0.1 to 1% Sn and 0.1 to 1% Ag, and, if required, comprising 0.1 to 1% Si, 0.2 to 1% Zn, 1 to 100 ppm Be and 0.1 to 3% rare earth elements, and in which, if required, the contents of Ni, Co and Cu in the inevitable impurities are regulated to ≤50 ppm, respectively. The invention has satisfactory castability, and is obtainable as a casting with a desired shape by die cast molding or the like without causing casting cracks. The casting has excellent high temperature creep strength, can be used, e.g., for parts concerned with automobile engines, and has excellent corrosion resistance as well.
