PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a functional mask solving problems that a conventional ordinary mask catches dust, gas, bacteria, pollen and the like in air by making netted fibers finer and stacking them severalfold, or using static electricity, activated carbon, and the like, however, the conventional ordinary mask has a low performance and functionality and is insufficient to catch the dust, gas, bacteria, pollen and the like in the air. SOLUTION : This functional mask is formed into a stereotype mask formed by providing it with a composition generating negative ions, by coating or weaving silver activated carbon or sterilizing ceramic in a mask fiber components, or by weaving rare earth sintered magnetic substance or natural ore low-level radioactive material such as radium, germanium or the like with its utilization scope of 370 Bq or less of the low regulation level in the mask fiber components. This functional mask, or the functional mask to the expiration, is thus provided with a function of purifying the air by preventing the adsorption of, and sterilizing or eliminating the dust, the gas, the bacteria, the pollen and the like.
