PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a device for generating high output femtosecond optical pulses. SOLUTION : The device includes the first section of a single-mode optical fiber (or other dispersion factors) preadjusting the phase of femtosecond pulses radiated from pulse light source, such as erbium doped beam fiber laser; and the output of the single-mode optical fiber is applied (amplification is performed with a high concentration added rare-earth optical fiber amplifier using one or plural proper pump sources), as an input to the high concentration added rare-earth optical fiber of relatively short length (several meters) having normal dispersion, operating in an area without a pulse break-up, since it generates parabolic shape pulses. The single mode optical fiber of a second section of relatively short length with abnormal dispersion is directly connected to the output of an optical fiber amplifier that performs required pulse compression.
