The exhaust-gas purifying catalyst contains palladium supported by perovskite-type aluminum complex oxide. The aluminum complex oxide has specific formula, and contains rare earth element and group I-V or group XII-XIV element. The exhaust-gas purifying catalyst contains palladium supported by perovskite-type aluminum complex oxide. The aluminum complex oxide has formula LnAl 1-xM xO 3, where Ln is rare earth element, M is I-V group element or XII-XIV group element and x is 0.02-0.3. Independent claims are included for the following : (1) manufacture of exhaust-gas purifying catalyst; and (2) exhaust-gas purifying catalytic apparatus for vehicles, containing the catalyst. The apparatus purifies the waste gas ejected from the vehicle.
