PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing an anisotropic magnet powder, which improves a yield in the manufacturing of a rare-earth-iron-boron-based anisotropic magnet powder by a batch type thermal process with the use of a heating furnace.
SOLUTION : The method for manufacturing the anisotropic magnet powder by using a closed type anisotropic method with the use of the heating furnace 2 comprises : carrying a predetermined lot of a raw powder filled in a closed container 11, to one part of regions in the heating furnace 2 heated to a predetermined temperature, and heating it to a temperature of making the raw powder anisotropic; after the lapse of time corresponding to a period of time required for hot-upsetting the previously carried-in raw powder, carrying a predetermined lot of the raw powder filled in the closed container 11 to the rest part of the regions in the heating furnace, and heating it to a temperature of making the raw powder anisotropic; and after having finished the hot upsetting for the previously carried raw powder, hot-upsetting the later carried-in raw powder.
